Stame Softwares ("we", "us", or "our") built the NeatNotes application as a Free app. This SERVICE is provided by Stame Softwares at no cost and is intended for use as is.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information for anyone who decides to use NeatNotes.

1. Data Collection and Use

NeatNotes is a local-first application. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information, note content, handwriting data, or usage metrics.

2. Local Storage

All data created within NeatNotes — including your notes, canvas files, math equations, inserted images, and imported PDF files — is processed and stored locally on your personal Windows device. As of v1.4, PDFs are stored in an isolated app data folder on your device for fast, crash-free performance. You maintain 100% ownership and control over your data. We do not have access to your files.

3. Third-Party Services (Microsoft Store)

While NeatNotes itself does not collect data, the app is distributed through the Microsoft Store. Microsoft may automatically collect basic, anonymized telemetry data (such as crash reports, installation counts, and device OS versions) to help developers improve their apps. This data is governed by Microsoft's own Privacy Statement and does not include the personal content of your notes.

4. Children's Privacy

Because our application does not collect any personal data from anyone, we naturally do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
